Weekly Class Overview:

Pasted Graphic
Sundays - 9:45

GO! (God’s Opportunities) - Gym
God gives us a passion. He places each of us in a sphere of infl uence to extend his kingdom. What is your passion? What is your sphere of infl uence? How might God use you there? What tools do you need to be effective? This interactive community of believers will spur one another on, learn from each other, gain new skills, pray for one another, and encourage each other as we GO! where God is giving us opportunities to reach out with his love. 9/16-10/7 What does the kingdom of God look like? Jesus spoke more than 100 times about the kingdom of God. That’s where our journey together begins.

LiFE (Life Is For Everyone) – North Social Events Room
“I have come that they may have LiFE and have it to the full!”— Jesus Come to LiFE. LiFE is for everyone. Join us in an interactive Sunday morning. We’ll engage in a variety of biblically-based discussions, share time in prayer, laugh and make some new friends in the process. LiFE...the good, the bad, the eternal. Who’s LiFE is it anyway? Come get a LiFE with us Sunday mornings.

Oasis – South Social Events Room
Our Sunday morning class provides fellowship (over coffee and treats), prayer (sharing re- quests from attendees and joining in prayer together), praise (raising our voices to sing the great hymns of our faith) and learning (a variety of biblical studies and informational discussions of topics concerning our lives as Christians). We have been blessed with teachers from local seminaries and universities, and leaders from groups and institutions that touch our community. All ages are welcome to join us. We hope to see you there! 9/16 Dr. Mark Throntveit, Voices in the Pentateuch: The Elohist

Praise & Study - Chapel
We start with a brief social time of coffee, treats, and conversation. At 10:00 we have a prayer, sing a hymn and introduce our speaker. Some speakers are from within the church or are on staff. Others come from outside and are concerned with local, state or national issues of Chris- tian interest. Most of us are in our 70s and 80s, but all ages are welcome. Join us, and make new acquaintances. We always have a good time. 9/16 Dr. Bob Dickson 9/23 Lynn McAdams, The Future of Christianity in Europe (see below) 9/30 Chuck Shreffl er 10/7 Kathy Nervick

The Future of Christianity in Europe
Lynn McAdam has served (along with his wife, Karen) as a missionary/ church consultant in Germany with OC International (Colorado Springs) since 1985. Their primary focus in Germany is to help equip national leaders in local churches through their teaching, writing and mentoring. Using the German name “Kompass,” Lynn and his OC teammates offer to help churches and individuals “steer their life on course.”

Sundays - 11:05

Questers – Room H1301
Peter 3:15-16 calls us to be prepared to give an answer for the hope that is within us. The task of defending the faith is not only for those with specialized training; all of us must be pre-pared to answer the critics of Christianity. Defending Your Faith by Dr. R. C. Sproul provides a comprehensive overview of apologetics, the science of defending the faith. Dr. Sproul draws from his years of training and experience as an apologist in order to equip believers to become effective defenders of the faith. This series presents 9 short videos. We provide the discussion.

The Truth Project

Today we are bombarded by the ideas and thinking of the world. Biblical thinking is under attack. Most believers are ill-prepared to fight the battle. George Barna recently reported that 9% of “born again” Americans hold a biblical worldview. The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum of 13 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. It takes participants on a guided worldview tour. Along the way, we will build a logical, systematic framework of biblical truth to evaluate the truth claims of the world. Lively small group discussion and challenging questions. Join us for an exciting and challenging study.
