Hope Church Ministries

You have reached an out-dated version of Hope's web site. You will be redirected to our new page.

Our ministries are guided by our purpose statement and core practices:

Spiritual Formation: God wants us to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
As we practice spiritual formation, we seek to:
- understand Christ and his kingdom more fully through faithful Bible study;
- attain deeper discernment of the Spirit’s movement through Christian education, fellowship, and service;
- grow in intimacy with God through the Christian spiritual disciplines such as prayer, fasting, study, service, etc.

Outward Engagement: God sends us into the world.
As we engage the communities beyond our three campuses, we seek to:
- go into the world with listening ears, faithful hearts, and bold spirits;
- engage our spheres of influence and beyond, inviting all people to know Christ and his kingdom;
- serve human needs within our local communities and the world.

Hospitality: God has placed us where we are for a reason.
As we practice hospitality, we seek to:
- provide appropriate welcome to the diverse people on our campuses, gladly embracing persons of any ethnicity, race, language, age, or social status;
- make our three campuses places of fellowship, love, and joy;
- encourage ministries of comfort and assistance.

In light of this vision, Hope’s programming is not just for our members. Sure, we have programs for our children, students, and adult members; but we also have programs designed to engage with our neighbors and larger community. For example, our camp -- Camp Ojibway -- is open to members and non-members alike. The Alpha course is another example of a great way for non-members to explore the Christian faith. Hope Church is also a gathering place for our community. The Red Cross hosts blood drives at our location, new residents to the United States gather here, summer school classes have been conducted on our site, Loves and Fishes meals served, homeless overnights through Families Moving Forward, and we run a wonderful clothing center called Vine and Branches.
