Why not serve for a week this summer? It is hard to say which is more exciting:
the way your life changes as a result of serving for Christ, or the satisfaction of helping those in need.
Date: Arrive by Monday, August 11th in the morning; trip ends Sunday, August 17th.
Location: Crow Agency, Montana Crow Agency is located on the Crow Reservation, 70 miles south of Billings Montana.
Construction Projects, Activities etc.: Our service will include specific construction projects, visits to nursing home and being a witness to all the Native American participants at Crow Fair. About 30,000 participants will attend - plenty of people to "share our story" with.
What is Crow Fair? It is an annual gathering of American Indian groups, hosted by the Crow Indian Leaders. It is the largest Northern Plains Indian gathering in the U.S., where traditional arts and culture are celebrated. You will be joining the Four Square Gospel Church and other community churches in a variety of outreach opportunities which center on support services at this gathering with a few small projects. The Fair starts late Friday and runs through Sunday.
Housing: You will be staying at the Spirit of Life Gospel Church. Lodging will include cabins with bunk beds, or Teepees may also be available. Meals will be provided.
Weather: Climate is dry. Temperature highs around 80 and lows in the 30s.
Day Off: Day off activities have yet to be determined.
Cost: Mission Trip (Housing, Food, Outreach) $495.00 per person
Transportation: Each person responsible for own transportation to Crow Agency, Montana.
Long Term Vision: To come along side local ministries and help meet the heart felt needs of the people. Build relationships so that we might share the story of how God has impacted our lives. Over and over we have heard stories of how World Servants teams have opened the hearts of people so that they could hear the word of God.
