A Sampling of our Projects and Partners:

Hope for Life
Hope for Life partners with New Life Family Services in sponsoring the ARISE group which ministers to first time single mothers who choose life. We bring resources, information, support, and encouragement to the moms while providing care for their children, and sharing how Jesus can be a part of their lives.
Volunteer: Help with child-care, provide and/or serve a meal for the Arise group meeting at Hope Church – 1st and 3rd Mondays, September – May. Peggy@hope-pc.org

Citizenship Class
Volunteer to tutor an immigrant in this 12 week Class offered at World Relief in Richfield (Bloomington Avenue and 66th St.) to prepare him/her for the citizenship exam. Training and curriculum are provided. Clarissa Willeke (Class coordinator) – 612-243-2971; cwilleke@wr.org

International Ministries
International Ministries provides friendship and cultural exchange, English classes, and other events for students and professionals from countries outside the U.S.
  • At Stadium Village Church (ConneXions International) – opportunities for English tutoring throughout the week; Worship and Christian discussion classes.
  • At Hope Church – Women’s American Culture Class meets Tuesday mornings 9:30-11:30. Attend weekly or volunteer to come once to share a special skill or interest.

Time for Tots
Time for Tots, a Christian pre-school for 4 year olds, provides a safe, structured environment for learning for children from a variety of backgrounds in the Phillips Neighborhood. The class meets at Oliver Christian Ministry Center, 2627 Bloomington Avenue, September - May.
Help in the classroom – once a week, once a month, or substitute on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, 10 am – 12:30 pm.

Kenya Children’s Fund (KCF) www.kenyachildrensfund.org
This holistic ministry provides education, nutrition, and health care in a Christ-centered environment for children in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. They also reach out into the surrounding community with educational and spiritual guidance.
  • Volunteer at the local KCF office in St. Louis Park.
  • Sponsor a child or teen for $30/month or $360/year.
  • Sponsor a teacher for $35/month or $420/year.

Vine and Branches
Vine and Branches provides high quality clothing and household goods at a very low cost to those who struggle financially in our community, including refugees, abuse victims, expectant single women, and welfare-to-work job seekers.
  • Sort items or steam clothes – Tuesdays
  • Work as a clerk in the store on Wednesdays, 6:30 - 8 p.m., Thursdays, 1-4 p.m., or Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
