Vine and Branches
For these people, and others in crisis situations, we offer:
• A clothing center that includes household items.
• A limited-use, free laundry.
• Physical and spiritual support and assistance.
In all that we do -- whether we provide a warm coat for a child, help someone wash their clothes, or give a single mom gas to make It to work -- we have a singular purpose: To extend the love of Christ to our neighborhood.
Mission Statement
• We offer our neighbors quality clothing, toys, books, and household items at minimal price.
• We also maintain a limited-use, free, laundry facility.
• We seek to we/come every visitor with kindness & respect.
• We also consider requests for help with other physical & spiritual difficulties.
Clothing Center
Hope's clothing ministry has good quality, used clothing and household items for sale at minimal prices. We are not a free store, we believe that an affordable cost leaves dignity intact. When circumstances warrant we make exceptions to our pricing.
The "store" is open three times each week; Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm; Thursdays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm; Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. When the need is urgent, we also make appointments.
If there are specific clothing needs, e.g., uniforms, we make special requests from our congregation, or buy what is needed. We especially hope to help those searching for a job, or in need of a work wardrobe.
Clothing Center Hours:
Wednesday 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursday 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am- 1:00 pm
Washing Well Laundry
Our laundry helps apartment dwellers stretch their laundry dollars. The person is matched with a volunteer, the two of them work out a schedule. Detergent is provided and the machines are not coin-operated. We do accept free-will donations.
Care & Compassion
This is an outreach of Hope's Deacons. We cannot provide ongoing support to anyone, we do assist those who meet our guidelines with groceries, or other basic necessities. We keep a variety of small personal necessities on hand to be given where we find need.
Vine & Branches is a ministry of Hope Presbyterian Church in Richfield. If you know of an individual, or family, in our neighborhood who has a need, please feel free to refer them to us. We promise to pursue each referral prayerfully.
