Values and Vision

Core Values

Hope
We believe that hope is not a human achievement but rather God's gift to us by the power of the Holy Spirit. We desire to reflect the name of our church (Hope!) in all that we do.

Transformation
We believe that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ changes lives, releasing us from sin, breaking our bondage to destructive behavior, and filling us with hope and purpose. We experience this transformation both through initial encounter and daily renewal in Christ.

Aspiration
We will dream dreams for ministry big enough to know the result cannot depend on us alone but rather on the God who does far more abundantly than we can think or imagine.

Location
We believe our location in the first ring suburb of Richfield provides a dynamic context for ministry in the name of Jesus Christ:
• a place where the city and suburbs intersect;
• a place where communities of affluence and communities of need meet;
• a place to embrace the metro area's increasing racial-ethnic diversity;
• a place where major roads bring easy access from the entire metro area.
We seek to maximize our ministry potential in this location.

Story
We will measure the progress of our ministries not only by counting numbers but by telling personal stories of how God is at work in our lives.

Vision
Our vision is:

• to be a Christ-centered, biblically faithful, culturally relevant congregation reaching out with urgency to unsaved and unchurched people, believing that the heart of Jesus' mission was to seek out and save the lost;

• to experience ever more deeply the power and presence of God in our worship, seeking excellence and relevance through a variety of styles;

• to be a warm and inviting place where children, youth, and adults build significant relationships, care for one another, encourage and pray for one another, and experience true Christian fellowship;

• to equip believers for lifelong growth as followers of Jesus Christ, and

• to be locally engaged and globally connected as we serve others in the name of Jesus Christ.
