Frequently Asked Questions
- Please take a look at the Link Gallery photos to get an idea about the space that will be used to display your works.
- Then, read the hanging requirements.
- If this works for you, please e-mail your website link if you have one, or attach some of your art digital picture files to an e-mail message with your contact information to HopeLinkGallery@gmail.com for the team to do the initial screening of your art works.
- Upon team’s approval, Retno Saridewi will contact you to schedule the show.
- Two weeks prior to your show start date, artists are to call Mary Caplinger at 612-861-6350 to schedule the time to hang your art pieces in the gallery. Typically, hanging or removing frames occurs on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays.
Framed Arts Hanging Requirements:
- Maximum 4 ft. frame height. It’s an 8 ft tall wall; nothing is to go from 4 ft down.
- Walker Art hanging system is used. It requires wire on the back of the frame to hang.
- For security purposes: Artists are to submit two copies of inventory list of the displayed items with painting titles/descriptions, sale price, and artists’ contact information to Mary Caplinger at scheduled time for hanging the displays. No SOLD framed pieces are to be taken out from the Hope Link Gallery during the show period. Sold items are to be delivered by the Artists to the buyers after the show ends and items are removed from Hope Link Gallery.
Important to know that:
- It’s a volunteer-based ministry. No payment will be made to artists who display their works at Hope Link Gallery.
- Hope Presbyterian Church assumes NO liability or responsibility to the art pieces displayed at Hope Link Gallery.
- Artists are welcomed to make their pieces available for sale. Contact information and pricing may be placed on each piece. Artists are to provide their own signage. A place is provided for an artist's statement or biography. The content should be on standard US letter sized paper. Copies may be made available to the public using a display box at one end of the gallery wall. Artists are to provide the bio sheets and replenish refills, if needed, during the span of show period.
- Tithing (10%) of sales proceeds to Hope Missions Ministry would be appreciated.
- Framed painting donations to Hope Church are welcomed and appreciated.
- Hope Link Gallery places a priority on displaying Christian-based paintings and art works in any hang-able medium.
Any tithing to Hope Church, please write check payable to Hope Presbyterian Church and write: “Mission-Link Gallery” on the memo line.
