Music
Hope Church has many opportunities to worship through music.
Whether through singing congregational hymns, letting your voice be heard with the praise band, or by joining one of the organized groups below, you can focus on God in song.
Traditional Worship
Our early service starts at 8:45 a.m. This service is led by organ and choir music.
Connection Hour
From 10:00 - 10:50 a.m. is set aside each Sunday for educational programming for all ages.
Contemporary Worship
Our 11:00 a.m. worship hour is led by a contemporary praise band and features a more up-tempo worship style.
The Well
Gather for informal worship at The Well each Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m.
Music
Get Involved in a Music Group at Hope!
Lead worship by singing traditional choral music, playing an instrument in the band, ringing hand-bells, or playing brass, strings or woodwind in an ensemble. Weekly Sanctuary Choir rehearsals begin on Wednesday, September 8 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Adult Choir Room. No audition is necessary -- however, prior choral experience is very helpful. Sanctuary Choir
Skills required: Singing in tune, some music reading skills.
Time required: Weekly Wednesday rehearsals from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Sunday morning 8:30 a.m. pre-service rehearsal and 9:00 a.m. Traditional service (done at 10:00 a.m.).
Ages: High school and adults

Praise Band
Skills required: Strong spiritual motivation, humble spirit, strong vocal or instrumental skills, and ability to read music or play by ear.
Time required: Weekly Wednesday rehearsals from 8:45-10:00 p.m. Sunday morning 10:00 a.m. pre-service rehearsal and 10:30 a.m. service.

Children’s Praise Choir and Children’s Chimes Choir
Rehearsals on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. in C346 (Sunday School Music Room).

You can be in one or both groups (as they will be on alternating schedule.) Watch for details about these groups in the coming weeks in the Sunday bulletin.
Hope Orchestra
Description: Lead worship by playing instrument (brass, strings or woodwind) in instrumental ensemble.
Skills required: Music reading skills.
Time Required: Once rehearsal/month, usually on Sundays after the Contemporary service Adult Choir Room (H004).
